Refunds
Cancellations must be received April 26, 2024 by email to [email protected] and is subject to $75 processing fee. No refunds will be given after that date. If, for any reason, the course must be canceled, discontinued, or rescheduled by the Center for Continuing Professional Development, a full refund will be provided.

1. Review the current uses and applications of modern ECLS for patients with respiratory or cardiac failure/ arrest, including the basic physiologic principles underlying its use
2. Discuss specific criteria to identify patients who are appropriate candidates for ECLS
3. Provide education and have meaningful conversations with patients and families about the risks and benefits of initiating ECLS
4. Identify cannulation strategies and ECLS circuit components, understand the rationale behind the selection of specific cannulation techniques
5. Describe unique considerations regarding the management of ECLS in the pediatric and neonatal population
6. Recognize the psychosocial challenges, including ethical considerations, as well as the importance of a multidisciplinary care team approach for ELCS patients
