Overview

This course explores the most challenging management problems facing the practicing urologist. Distinguished faculty present current information and techniques in urologic oncology (prostate, bladder, kidney), male and female voiding dysfunction, incontinence, urinary tract infection and inflammation, BPH surgical therapies, stone disease, male infertility, hypogonadism, prostate cancer focal and radiation therapy, perineal prostate biopsy, active surveillance, genetic testing, advanced prostate cancer therapy, non-muscle invasive bladder cancer, the small renal mass, practice management, and GU dermatology. The conference emphasizes interaction between participants and faculty and allows ample time for case presentations and group discussions, ensuring an outstanding educational experience for attendees.

At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Analyze for aquablation and prostate artery embolization for BPH
  2. Assess and manage nocturia
  3. Implement stress urinary incontinence procedures in women
  4. Treat neurogenic lower urinary tract dysfunction
  5. Address radiation-induced injury of the lower urinary tract
  6. Perform perineal biopsy in clinical practice
  7. Apply active surveillance for prostate and kidney cancer
  8. Execute radical prostatectomy continence and potency sparing techniques
  9. Administer focal therapy for prostate cancer
  10. Determine appropriate use of testosterone in men with prostate cancer
  11. Treat non-muscle invasive and BCG recurrent bladder cancer
  12. Manage advanced prostate cancer
  13. Manage the small renal mass and bilateral renal masses
  14. Assess and treat male and female voiding dysfunction and utilize urodynamics
  15. Manage male incontinence conditions
  16. Diagnose and treat UTI and other inflammatory conditions
  17. Evaluate the role for ureteroscopy suction devices
  18. Apply medical management for stone disease
  19. Diagnose and treat male infertility
  20. Diagnose and treat GU dermatologic conditions

**GROUP RATE of $319.00 will apply to early arrivals and late departures (by 3 days) based upon availability. Directions and Parking
From the 405 freeway, exit Wilshire Blvd., East toward Westwood. Turn left on Westwood Blvd., travel past Charles E. Young Dr. South and turn left on Structure 8 driveway. Drive up the ramp to the rooftop level to park. Pay stations are located up on the roof top. All day self-parking is $16. There is a convenient walkway/bridge connecting Parking Structure 8 (on level 3) to the Luskin Conference Center Property. The Luskin Conference Center is located at Westwood Plaza and Strathmore Place. Overnight parking at the Luskin Conference Center is $37.00 per car, per night. Overnight parking at Parking Structure 8 is $32.00 per car, per night.
