Overview

This course explores the most challenging management problems facing the practicing urologist. Distinguished faculty present current information and techniques in urologic oncology (prostate, bladder, kidney), male and female voiding dysfunction, incontinence,  urinary tract infection, BPH surgical therapies, stone disease, penile implants, hypogonadism, prostate cancer focal and radiation therapy, perineal prostate biopsy, active surveillance, genetic testing, advanced prostate cancer therapy, non-muscle invasive bladder cancer, upper tract TCCA, renal and adrenal tumors, practice management, urethral stricture disease, and gender affirming care. The conference emphasizes interaction between participants and faculty and allows ample time for case presentations and group discussions, ensuring an outstanding educational experience for attendees.



Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:


  1. Tailor BPH surgical therapy
  2. Perform penile implant surgery and manage complications
  3. Manage hypogonadism with novel therapies
  4. Utilize perineal biopsy in clinical practice
  5. Manage prostate cancer recurrence after primary therapy
  6. Perform continence sparing techniques during radical prostatectomy
  7. Utilize focal therapy for prostate cancer
  8. Manage advanced prostate cancer
  9. Manage non-muscle invasive bladder cancer
  10. Manage patients with upper tract urothelial cancer
  11. Perform partial nephrectomy
  12. Manage adrenal lesions
  13. Manage the spectrum of kidney cancer including the small renal mass
  14. Manage male and female voiding dysfunction including pelvic floor dysfunction
  15. Manage post-prostatectomy incontinence
  16. Utilize supplements for UTI prevention
  17. Manage kidney stone disease and stones during pregnancy
  18. Perform mini-percutaneous stone surgery
  19. Inject xiaflex and manage the complications
  20. Understand important aspects of gender affirming care

The Luskin Conference Center features 254 beautifully-appointed guest rooms, many with sweeping views of the stunning campus architecture and beautifully landscaped grounds. The gracious guest experience at the Luskin Conference Center is further enhanced by a full-service restaurant and lounge, on-site professional catering services, well-equipped fitness center, business center, and free Wi-Fi throughout the property.

UCLA has arranged a room block at the Luskin Conference Center for our guests. Room Rate ranges from $319 to $519 per night. Each individual guest must make their own reservations.

**GROUP RATE of $319.00 will apply to early arrivals and late departures (by 3 days) based upon availability. Guests will need to call in to the Reservations Department in order to secure this special rate on these dates.** Please note that room rates are subject to taxation which is currently 16%.

Directions and Parking
From the 405 freeway, exit Wilshire Blvd., East toward Westwood. Turn left on Westwood Blvd., travel past Charles E. Young Dr. South and turn left on Structure 8 driveway. Drive up the ramp to the rooftop level to park. Pay stations are located up on the roof top. All day self-parking is $15. There is a convenient walkway/bridge connecting Parking Structure 8 (on level 3) to the Luskin Conference Center Property. The Luskin Conference Center is located at Westwood Plaza and Strathmore Place.

Overnight self parking is available at The Luskin Conference Center at $32 per night. There is also self-parking available at Parking Structure 8 at $26 per night.
