Overview

This project will coalesce around an overarching goal of developing and disseminating a virtual accredited healthcare provider training for promoting health and increasing uptake, access, and confidence of all vaccines—including the COVID-19 vaccine—among individuals with disabilities and their families.

This series includes 3 different modules broken down by topic for ease of viewing. Modules are delivered via a streaming platform in the optimal format for your electronic devices.

Module 1: The Experiences
Interviews with neurodivergent community, and their family members, focusing on their vaccine experiences

Module 2: The Facts
Provides evidence-based strategies for vaccine uptake and implementing strategies to reduce needle anxiety

Module 3: Spreading the Word
The Autism Society of America provides actionable strategies for creating accessible healthcare messages

  3. Evaluate the reasons behind vaccine hesitancy and develop strategies to promote vaccine confidence
  4. Develop a culture of neurodiversity in health care interactions
