Overview

This one-day educational conference focuses on what is new and notable in interventional radiology. The conference will be separated into topic lecture sessions (including overviews of literature in a rapid-fire format), panel discussions, and a best case/worst case session, where use of new and novel techniques will be featured in addition to morbidity/mortality. There will be a total of 6 hours of topic lectures and one hour of best case/worst case for a total of 7 hours of educational content.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Describe recent advances in thrombectomy.
  2. Analyze concepts of advanced techniques in interventional radiology (IR), including biliary endoscopy, musculoskeletal, and arterial interventions.
  3. Evaluate how interventional radiologists can improve patient care through device and medical application development.
  4. Recognize various minimally invasive treatment options for benign prostatic hyperplasia and uterine fibroids from a multi-disciplinary perspective.
  5. Identify the latest and most important studies in the past year in arterial disease, interventional oncology, and interventional radiology in general.

Accreditation

The David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA designates this live activity for a maximum of 7.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
