Weekly Grand Rounds series in the Harbor-UCLA Department of Psychiatry. Relevant topics in behavioral health are covered, including current clinical and basic science research, clinical practice and guidelines, emerging topics and therapies, and other topics of interest to behavioral health practitioners and trainees.

Objective(s): 1 Become acquainted with current clinical and basic science research in psychiatry 2 Discuss current guidelines and competencies in the treatment of psychiatric disorders such as mood disorders, psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders, substance use disorder and cognitive disorders 3 Apply current guidelines and competencies in evidence-based psychotherapies 4 Describe emerging therapeutics in psychiatry, such as novel pharmacotherapies, digital therapeutics, brain stimulation, psychedelic therapies, and others 5 Establish cultural and structural competencies in mental health care 6 Analyze mental health care delivery in special populations, such as children, older adults, the developmental disabled, socioeconomically disadvantaged groups, and pregnant women 7 Compare the interplay between public and private healthcare organizations in healthcare delivery 8 Identify the interplay between psychiatry and popular culture 9 Describe the relevance of the history of psychiatry to the current mental health care system
